Summer in the San Juan Islands is rich with historical significance – from our small-town 4th of July to the infamous Pig War.
What better way to celebrate than by selecting the San Juan Historical Society and Museum as our Summer Charity of the Quarter?
Founded in 1961, the Historical Society and Museum has been an incredible resource for locals and visitors alike to learn about early life in the San Juan Islands. With artifacts, photographs and stories dating as far back as the 19th Century, there is no shortage of history to be had!
The Society and Museum are run entirely on community donations – let’s help preserve the fascinating heritage of this place we call home! Learn more about SJHS and our island at www.sjmuseum.org or follow them on Facebook.
